Our Experience
The Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal was established to compensate people who received contaminated blood and blood products in Ireland.
We have considerable experience in this area and represent Transfusion Positive, a support group for men, women and children infected with Hepatitis C as a result of being transfused with infected blood and/or blood product(s)
We also act on behalf of spouses and/or partners of people who have been infected as a result of Hepatitis C and the families of people who have died as a result of Hepatitis C.
We played a central role in the investigative process into the reasons why Hepatitis C infected the blood supply and acted on behalf of Transfusion Positive in the original Tribunal of Inquiry into the Blood Transfusion Service Board in 1996 and 1997. We also represented the interests of Transfusion Positive during the course of drafting legislation.
There is a National Hepatitis C Database which contains useful medical information about people who were infected with Hepatitis C by blood and/or blood products, you can find further information on their website www.hcvdatabase.ie.
We offer each client a discreet and personal service tailored to their individual circumstances and needs.
